The two gunmen, who were believed to have carried out the shooting on a bus in Tangalle yesterday killing one person, were arrested in Hungama today, Southern Province police DIG Kingsly Ekanayake said.
“We are now examining the suspects as there were reports that one of the suspects was mentally retarded”, he said.
The victim as well as several other who were injured were believed to be supporters of Presidential candidate General Sarath Fonseka. (SD)

Maybe the DIG is right, after all. I wonder whether the Cop who killed a so called mentally retarded man by forcing him to drown in the sea at Bambalapitiya was also a "mentally retarded" cop. Anyway, by now it is apparent that all those who voted for this government are really "mentally retarded" people.
