RW You shameless Politician who is also party to dead roping SF.
Nihal Fernando Tuesday, 30 November 2010 09:59 AM
Exactly Nilantha. Whenever Ranil speaks he always speaks nonsense.
Anu J Tuesday, 30 November 2010 10:06 AM
Take what he said and not who he is.... The real truth is no democracy in Sri Lanka.
db Tuesday, 30 November 2010 10:16 AM
test
Raja Tuesday, 30 November 2010 10:34 AM
Ranil you can do that when you are in power.
gamini Tuesday, 30 November 2010 11:24 AM
Lesser Ranil speaks SF will have a better chance of freedom.
Kanthi Tuesday, 30 November 2010 09:28 AM
For the eyes of you, he is an accuse, not proven guilty, but the truth is political. If he has not contested he would be enjoying life.
Lamaya Tuesday, 30 November 2010 06:19 PM
SHUT UP RANIL!
ML Tuesday, 30 November 2010 10:51 PM
SF ganged up with UNP and JVP, that is not much of a crime as JVP and UNP MPs are in the cabinet.
SF contested against MR.
That is high Treason.
Shovini Wednesday, 01 December 2010 06:20 AM
The more Ranil speaks the chances are brighter for the release of SF
priyal Wednesday, 01 December 2010 12:02 PM
Yes Ranil like you took Prabakarans advice have you ever see your face in a mirrow,
Nadine Wednesday, 01 December 2010 05:36 PM
RANIL IS A STATESMAN.Sri Lanka needs more people like Ranil Wickremasinghe.
Ranjith Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:38 AM
MR has taken Pakistan under Pervez Musharraf and Myanmar as an example.
Fayad Tuesday, 30 November 2010 07:45 AM
Take examples from your big brothers in west if they loose an election once they resign gracefully do you???
Chandana Fernando Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:05 AM
Step down yourself first and show the world a good example first!!!
Ramzeel Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:08 AM
Well said Ranil, this is a bitter lesson for MR. And this is the last time that Asif Ali Zardarai will be invited to Sri Lanka.
Now Gel Wimal will say that Zardari is a traitor going by their stances, REPEAT going by Wimals stances. This is because the Dog wags its tail more than the masters
Common Man Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:11 AM
Thanks to you we won the civil war. Sometimes, a really weak opponent is an asset in a democracy. Stay there for a while.
Roshan Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:21 AM
Ranil,
The Pakistan Prez was not in the Army, but SF did. He's punished by court martial for been misled and ill-advised by UNP and JVP. That's his crime!
Gayan Samarasekara Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:25 AM
You cannot criticize Ranil for some alien reason, when he is pointing out a correct and a valuable point to secure the democracy in Sri Lanka. This is none other than the bankruptcy of political intelligence of Sri Lankan voters.
Siribiris Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:32 AM
There were political prisoners in Pakistan when Army dictators were ruling. They are now released since a democratic government is ruling Pakistan.
Ranil kata-eriyoth, hina-yanna katha kiyanne!
Musthafa Tuesday, 30 November 2010 08:33 AM
Mr. Ranil you must off from Politics and start some trading business and provide atleast some jobs
Nilantha Tuesday, 30 November 2010 07:44 AM
SF is not a political prisoner... he is accuse from one of courts which is a legal body.
Fayad Tuesday, 30 November 2010 09:13 AM
Gayan irrespective what a person should practice what he preach.
This is a a credit for MR.
Ranil should have democracy in his own party before he preachers democracy to the masses.
Sidath B Tuesday, 30 November 2010 09:17 AM
Take Pakistan as example -
Military interference is highest in the region. When people are sick of politicans a coup take place and things are messed up even furteher.
pbj Tuesday, 30 November 2010 09:18 AM
By making a public speech so , president of Pakistan implies that keeping political prisoners itself is a weakness of the ruling body.
Labby Tuesday, 30 November 2010 09:23 AM
The favourite passtime in Sri Lanka at present seems to be bashing Ranil Wickremasinghe. This of course is done by those who cannot see beyond their own nose.
Mottapala Tuesday, 30 November 2010 09:25 AM
Who is going to listen to you Ranil. High time you quit politics.
