Swamy slams Karunanidhi

Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy today condemned DMK chief M Karunanidhi for his “outrageous” remarks against Indo-Sri Lanka relations at a pro-Eelam TESO meet.Swamy said Karunanidhi has expressed the view that Tamils are being subjected to “genocide in Sri Lanka because of Sinhalaisation”. “This is ridiculous since both Sinhala and the Tamil people originally came from India and are the same people as recent DNA genetic study shows,” he said in a statement. “Therefore, Sri Lanka’s unity can be promoted of Tamils Sinhalise and Sinhala community Tamilise, that is, both the communities should nationalise their outlook to come closer.”
In his speech at a conclave preceding the main event yesterday, Karunanidhi, who is seeking to inject life into the defunct TESO founded by him in the 1980s, had alleged the Sri Lankan army was running a “state of Emergency” in Tamil areas.
The DMK patriarch had said the plight of Sri Lankan Tamils was linked with human rights and dignity, which required short-term, medium-term and long-term solutions.(PTI)

As I stated earlier this meeting is not for the well being of the Sri Lankan Tamils but a pitch for the creation of Eelam. If not then change the name of the organization. Mr. Swamy's retort against the vitriolic accusations made in that TESO meeting is good but can also be construed as a political move. The only solution is to recognize this group as an illegal entity whose main objective is to divide a sovereign nation and should be dissolved by New Delhi and Mr. Karunanidhi arrested in activities similar to LITE.

There should be a retirement age for politicians because at 88 karunanidhi's mind and sense of reasoning seems to have deserted him going by the recent absurd comments made.

Any sensible human can clearly understand that Karunanidhi is doing this for his political benefit. Why could not he do this when the war was on??? We must Just ignore him.. and let the Indian govt handle this... We'll enjoy the drama

But, in case Karunanithy we cannot say that his mind is gone because of his memory power. if you ask him some specific incidents 40 years ago, he can still tell you the detail with data and time.
