The only way to stop such incidents from occurring again is to bringing in tough guidelines on student activity. They are there to study. Either study or get out and give that opportunity to someone who is serious about study, there has to be a no nonsense tough stance taken in this regard otherwise this will never end.

mullahs of Taliban regime also felt so.... we like to have laws and regulations for everything. ...but fail to honor even the very simple highway code when the law applies to ourselves. by the way all uni's have playgrounds but very few use these facilities...how about directing them to these playgrounds to have fun and learn to play the game....

Cleric (any religion) should not come to Politics & these kind of activities...

Universities are no personal play ground of anyone. They are supported through public funds for a specific purpose; to create educated professionals for our country. Those who feel otherwise should be kicked out. A very strong stance must be taken in this regard. Strict guidelines must be drawn up and put in place immediately otherwise we will never see the end of this.

Some people who are able to go to a university have even smaller brains, they are pinpoint size - not even pinhead size. They think they are above the rest, and can rule the world. They do more harm to the society.
Chow Chow Wednesday, 27 October 2010 02:22 PM
Sour grapes. Comment from a person who was not able to get a higher eduction due to size of his brain (a pin head).

Ruwan Ferdinandez Wednesday, 27 October 2010 01:15 PM
Fayad, The problem is, these university authorities believe it is a joint for a few people to do jobs than an institution for students to learn and a few students believe it is where they launch their political career. The authorities always support one student group and try to punish the other group whenever they get a chance. There is no conducive environment for any reasonable thinking person to do anything useful.
