Strike called off

The countrywide strike, launched by government doctors was called off a short while ago after talks with the Health Ministry and the Finance Ministry, the Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) said.

GMOA President Dr. A. Padeniya said they decided to call off the strike after arriving at an agreement with those ministries with regard to the travel allowance. (Olindi Jayasundera)
