Strike by NWSDB workers intensifies

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) Joint Trade Union Alliance has intensified its countrywide trade union action with even those providing emergency and breakdown services joining the strike.

The strike action was launched last Saturday over the non-payment of the workers’ annual bonus. (Indika Manoj)

    Compare to monthly transport allowance around Rs.50000/=, this annual bonus is nothing, cut down transport allowance is real waste for gov. because most of them getting this allowance come by bus or use gov. vehicles and deposit this amount to their bank accounts.
