Six Buddhist monks, who allegedly stormed Minister Rishad Bathiudeen’s office in Colombo 2 during the tenure of the previous government, have been noticed to be present in Court on March 12.

They are alleged to have stormed into the building in search of Ven. Watareka Vijitha Thera.

The Kollupitiya Police told the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court that they had identified the six Buddhist monks who were involved in the incident and said they had recorded their statements.

Ranil Wijeyesekera, Who ask you to marry more than one wife? You have the freedom to hit prostitute den. Who asked you to eat halal stuff? There are enough non-halal dead you are consuming. Who asked you to dress like Muslim? 98.5% dress un-Islamic ways, so there are no security concern for 1% wearing Islamic dress.. Who took the freedom of your worship? Confront the person who took it from you.

Started with "mate we are friendly and small, Please give us a chance".( two decade ago in Colombo)then next stage, "Our numbers are significant in the community we need sharia and other things". (now Colombo and suburbs) Future: "We are the main population why irrelevant historical sites in our surrounding. we also have history ( no matter two thousand or two hundred years) Lets give way for ours discard

Ranil Wijeyesekera Thursday, 26 February 2015 05:41 PM

Please do not give preference t0 Islam. They can not have more than one wife. There dress must not constitute a security risk. we should not be forced to consume halal products because of market monopoly. We must ensure ownership and freedom of worship. Peace is needed now. This is because problems are not redressed. Laws should be the same for everybody.

Leaving racism and communalism aside, these monks need to punished. The earlier regime sowed and harvested on communalism and this New Sri Lanka should not leave room for such acts and persons.

No one is above the law. Even if Bathiudeen was at fault, no one can take the law into their own hands. We are a democracy and those who break the law, must be severely dealt with. The BBS had no business behaving like racist thugs.

6 people INVADED a government ministry and they happened to be Buddhist Monks. Are these monks above the law? Dont divert the subject.Even former Def Sec the father of all these racist Monks admitted that there are no Muslim terrorist organizations in SL.Why the majority so worried about the tiny Muslim community?Peace lover indeed.

    Jayantha Thursday, 26 February 2015 03:03 PM

This is not a wise thing. Result will be a disaster.

Kolannawa Kolla Thursday, 26 February 2015 03:01 PM

    Mohommad Thursday, 26 February 2015 02:40 PM

    PeaceLover Thursday, 26 February 2015 02:39 PM

What about the Islamic racist organizations that are functioning in SL with the help of the Arab countries? No action on those organization? Are we going to pave way for a Muslim domination which is already taking place in Colombo and suburbs?

    Bala Thursday, 26 February 2015 02:34 PM

It is not for nothing Bathuideen is called the wizard. He knows how to play his cards. Unfortunately Sri Lankans love these manupulators

Mohamed Mohamed Thursday, 26 February 2015 01:43 PM

Why only six monks? We all Sri Lankans are gearing to erase calibre of Bathiyudeen, who is a criminal in threatening Sri Lankan judiciary.
