Sri Lanka was bowled out for 174 in the first innings of the second test at the Pallekele International Stadium a short while ago.

Having elected to bat first after winning the toss Sri Lanka were 76 for 5 at lunch, but could not capitalise on favourable batting conditions as they lost wickets at regular intervals, to be shot out for 174.

Angelo Mathews top scored for 58, with Kumar Sangakkara falling two runs short of his half-century. Ryan Harris took 3 for 38 with Trent Copeland, Mitchell Johnson and Nathan Lyon picking up two wickets each.

Perhaps, it is time Sri Lanka bid adieu to Test Cricket rather than get humiliated like this. The most urgent priority is to appoint a good captain.

I have been telling over and over again, Dilshan is NOT the right guy to lead Sri Lanka. He is careless and does not take his responsibility serious. He is not a good reader of the game. SLC is going bad to worse now. Until and unless we change the captain and get a foreign coach, we will suffer even at the hands of the minnows. 174 all out after winning the toss, is it Test Cricket, T20 or ODI??????? Your guess is good as mine.

Cant Bat 50 overs in ODI's and a full day in Test ... what a team... if there was Warne and McGrath we would have been all out at lunch !

Yes its time to get rid of Dilshan... he is good player but would not be a good captain. Disgraceful performance by the team.

Dlishan is not a good captain.he is a good cricketer hence you need to save this man and get him out of the captaincy.We need someone like Sanga's class to captain this team. why dont we hire a proper Coach.it looks as if our people are playing 'WELLAY' cricket.come on our team is a very good team we need proper guidence.Has anyone heard Dilshan speak ? Gosh what ever happend to SL cricket...

God !! you people are such sour loosers.. Stop being such spoilt sports.. So the loss was embarrasing, you think it was the slightest more embarrasing to any of you than the actual team??? I don't think any one of you have done any kind of sports that's why you are so judgmental, if you were real sportsmen you'd know how to respond..
For the team I say !! better luck next time guys, no need to feel down you are still one of the WORLDS best cricket teams.. let's do better in the next one..
