Southern PC Minister arrested

The Co -operative Minister of the southern Provincial council D.V. Upul has been arrested in Tangalle for allegedly assaulting a CTB driver last evening, police said.

He was arrested after he surrendered to the Tangalle police regarding the incident.

He is to be produced in the Tangalle Magistrates Court today.
