In spite of criticism in the past the selectors appear to have have done a pretty good job. Now it is up to the players to perform and prove their ability. This is especially so in the case of Malinga.

Jeewan Mendis will do well .He is blossoming out to be a very handy allrounder..

a upcoming youngster Dananjaya selection is not a good move especially for the T 20S. Hope it wont be the end of his carrier knowing the format of T20 cricket. a test or 50 over match would have been a suitable launching pad for his career.

what is not understood is the reasons the selectors had side line Ajantha Mendis from the time of the finals in the world cup in which he was the most economical bowler more economical than even Murali but since he was fit after injury has not been given a opportunity to show his skills at least in the 20/20 which even now he is the 4th rank ICC bowler while Malinga is ranked 6 also Ajantha is a youngster of only 27 years
