Sri Lanka’s candidate for the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child Dr. (Mrs) Hiranthi Wijemanne has been appointed to the Committee, on Tuesday. She was one of nine Committee members appointed from a pool of 20 candidates. (DS)
