This shows that N Korea is better than US. US didn't give at least a fire cracker except an out of date coast guard vessel without ammunition.

If so Kim Il Jong is a great friend

This is shocking. We cannot justify it by saying we had no option. NK is an example of what we should not be doing and by buying their arms, we're only encouraging others to look at SL in the way they look at NK
menaka Thursday, 09 December 2010 10:01 AM
well said! I am in the US these days for a short stay and here I can see how the US govt is trying hard to cover the wikileaks stuff.
local boy Wednesday, 08 December 2010 01:06 PM
wiki leaks is drama created by CIA.
ganeshen Wednesday, 08 December 2010 10:18 AM
so, what's the wrong?
weha Wednesday, 08 December 2010 09:14 AM
ha ha. here we go.now see who were going against the UN. i thought the UN had sanctions on NK against selling weapons.
Ruwan Ferdinandez Wednesday, 08 December 2010 08:17 AM
Hussein, NK is unbiased? Are you suggesting they sold arms to both the SL and the LTTE? Only joking..
Sue Wednesday, 08 December 2010 08:06 AM
1. Which of guys will reject a lucraive job or permanent residencey in the USA if offered by them tomorrow?
2. Which of you guys will throw away a free ticket to the USA if offered?
whether we like it or not, they are the world No. 1 Super Power and we are only midgets. Let's put our own house in order before trying to reform the Super Powers, p l eazzzzzzze.
karu Wednesday, 08 December 2010 07:40 AM
My thoughts exactly, Sagara. After all, they were small arms, and not nukes!
Ryan Wednesday, 08 December 2010 06:57 AM
Its hearteneing to hear these things, how USA has operated their terror network in order to maintain no.1 power slot. They dont mind millions of people being killed all over the world due to terrorism, famine, military coups, dictatorships etc.., their only concern is being the no. 1 world power.

Wiki Leaks has been blocked in Sri Lanka. I could access it last week but not now.
unl Wednesday, 08 December 2010 05:48 AM
Please read news papers and news website first. then you will know what has happend.
I Hussein Wednesday, 08 December 2010 05:19 AM
Absolutely! what wrong? Are we bound to buy arms only from USA, Europe or australia?
For us NK is a neutral nation, unlike Biased & Prejudiced west.
Roshan Wednesday, 08 December 2010 05:04 AM
Why no news about US and UK, Wiki Leaks worried only about Arab countries and SriLanka? It looks like another frame work of the CIA.
SINHALAYA Wednesday, 08 December 2010 04:52 AM
Doesn't matter to buy any kind of weapons from any country to combat worlds most ruthless terrorrism. No need any advise from any outsiders. Western super powers cant bear the defeat of LTTE. They shame cos they coudn't do what we did.....
Ruwan Wednesday, 08 December 2010 04:48 AM
its not wikileaks was blocked in SL, wikileaks was taken down by the US and allies. you guys trying to put every thing on to SL...hope you understand the big picture
ind Wednesday, 08 December 2010 04:40 AM
Exactly. NK may be their enemy, not us. We took each and every possible measures to eradicate terrorism.
Rathnaweera Wednesday, 08 December 2010 04:27 AM
Why should we worry about? It is not mandatory for SL to buy weapons (or anything) from a country one designates. SL is at liberty to decide for its choice.
Why did not these conditions apply to the LTTE. The real muderes are not subjected to any law and thay can do what ever they want.
I am sure that, there wasn't any Sri Lankan citizen (Tamil ethinicity) at the protest. Those who protest are the people who looted the innocent tamils people in SL of everything and now has lost their income because there isn't the LTTE to put forward an agenda to collect money.
They (all of them) probably holding foreing nationality.
Our President and the people of SL need not worry about any of these as they are for the personal gains of the individuals.
priyal Wednesday, 08 December 2010 04:13 AM
Why sri lanka why dont you people ask who sold arms to the LTTE
Sagara Wednesday, 08 December 2010 04:03 AM
What's wrong? We have no problem with North Korea. Its US has a problem with NK.
