The reason he may not attend is the failure on the part of our government to clearly disclose the truth regarding the situation in the North and East and the real way that the Tamils live in Sri Lanka, how they own land, work and interact in the rest of the Provinces. There is a strong lobby of so-called "GTFs" all representing the diaspora in Canada.They have misled P.M Harper on this subject and Harper being a very honest man, despite being a politician, sticks by his principles.
