Six people including two children were killed in a collision between the trishaw they were travelling in and a bus at Nidavur in the Ampara district.

Urgently need speed limit within city areas and spot fine to reduce the accidents like in Europe. Also need more trafic police officers who do not get bribe for trafic iffences .

If they respected the rules of the country 2 innocent lives would have been saved. A three wheeler has its capacity, it is not a van. Parents drop children to school on mobike and the children dont have helmuts, and in front of traffic police. Still some minister wants to chage laws regarding insurance. if people dont value their own lives , can a law do?

Let there be uniforms and identification papers pasted on the three wheelers.

Most of the accidents are done by unlicensed sons or nephews of the three wheel drivers, trying to make a quick buck when their fathers or uncles are taking a rest.

The accident may have been the result of the recklessness and flouting of the road rules by one or both drivers, and not the over crowding.
