well done sir...this is not a political issue but a national issue...we all sri lankans are with you...
Guru Monday, 26 September 2011 07:20 AM
You are talking nonsense.
RAJU Monday, 26 September 2011 07:18 AM
NO POINT OF TALKING ABOUT THE PAST , NOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO ANSWER THE COURT WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO COL RAMESH WHILE HE WAS IN YOUR CUSTODY. BECAUSE THERE ARE VIDEO EVIDENCE ABOUT HIS PRESENCE IN THE ARMY CUSTODY.
LIMA Monday, 26 September 2011 06:58 AM
very good silva , give that lady of her taste of her own meedicne,
let the us arrest her and put in jail for life , she is a terrorist of the high caliber
existentialist Monday, 26 September 2011 06:20 AM
No point in babbling about his past deeds. File charges against minister Karuna over the killings of 600 surrendered policemen and monks in Arantalawa, if you are really bothered. Why should anyone knock on the tomb when the real criminals are roaming around? You are supposed to answer what happened to Ramesh under your custody and not what he had done before! Clear your name by answering to the allegations leveled by Ch-4.
Rohan Monday, 26 September 2011 05:53 AM
“Her husband was a well known terrorist for his ruthlessness and was responsible in the massacre of the clergy in Aranthalawa and the killing of more than 600 policemen,” says Mr. Deputy Representative. Does he have any proof for who exactly killed the police officers? Can he get anyone in the know to go to court to give evidence? Probably Ramesh's commanding person can give evidence. His name is Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan. Last time I checked, he was the Deputy Leader of Sri Lanka Freedom Party. He is a deputy minister as well. Are you ready Shavendra? Your empty rhetorics versus an appearance in a court of law... As a brave solder (as you claim), can you face the court, or do you want to hide behind the diplomatic immunity?
k shantha Monday, 26 September 2011 05:37 AM
If Sl wishes to reply the court case, will it amounts to a "International Inquiry"
Ananda Seneviratne, Monday, 26 September 2011 05:36 AM
Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!What a joke!!!!These terrorists and their US terrorists including Rudrakumaran using American freedom and expression try to sue anybody.
Jokers!
Kumar Dabare Monday, 26 September 2011 05:14 AM
Major General Shavendra Silva says it's a joke for terrorist group to ask compensation from him for involved in defeating the LTTE by leading the 58th division, which i agree 100%. BUT THE BIGGEST JOKE is the Chief of Army Gen. Sarath Fonseka who was overall commander of all divisions (not only 58th Div.) & the whole operation, been jailed by his own country.....and at the same time current leader of this same terrorist organization known as K.P getting all the blessings from the government of that same country....... so in reality who are the JOKERS????
Lanke Banda Monday, 26 September 2011 05:13 AM
Major Sir what about the Sinhalese & Muslims murdered by these Terrorists ? You should include them also.
Oswin Alderweight Monday, 26 September 2011 04:59 AM
Shavendra I wish you were right but the problem here is not you fighting the terrorism but how you fought it. Looks like you and your government are not getting the point.
Repeating, it's not about fighting terrorism, it's about how you fight it.
randunu Monday, 26 September 2011 04:51 AM
"Responsible in the massacre of the clergy in Aranthalawa and the killing of more than 600 policemen?" Huh! Real Sinhalese don't slump dead people. Please learn that from our great king Gamunu. If you are a real hero, talk about Karuna who are responsible for those crimes more than Soosai and Ramesh and now is a minister and deputy chairman of the ruling party.
Patriot Monday, 26 September 2011 04:43 AM
God bless you sir!! Show the world her true face... Let the world see her and her team of legal advisers for the clowns that they are...
Fair N Square Monday, 26 September 2011 01:43 AM
Howonearth did she escape from SL? too bad our immigration was not informed of MOST wanted people.
Wonder if Osama's wife could file a case in NY, USA seeking damages for killing an unarmed family.....
mike pereira Monday, 26 September 2011 04:08 AM
Dear Major General - This is the best opportunity to expose the hypocrisy of the diaspora and there tin pot lackeys. The nation of Sri Lanka will be with you. Good luck.
willowsw Monday, 26 September 2011 04:02 AM

arulraj Monday, 26 September 2011 04:04 AM
well said sir..
izmie Monday, 26 September 2011 03:53 AM
He should have told this before,we are always late.
Guy Monday, 26 September 2011 03:35 AM
My advise for this Hon lady to come to Sri Lanka and file a case rather than trying to go behind foreigners to get helps. Please talk to President because Srilankans never believe international or any other court out of Sri Lanka.
sparks Monday, 26 September 2011 03:31 AM
As a Diplomat and an Army Officer of his grade, these kind of propaganda statements needs to be avoided. If Shavendra has decided to face the issue in courts, then personal shadow punching serves no purpose other than tarnishing his own image. Further more, Wathsala herself has been more cautious and diplomatic making any public statements after filing court action.
gihan Monday, 26 September 2011 03:27 AM
Why shoudn't he ask Karuna to pay compensation?
Ahmedy Monday, 26 September 2011 03:33 AM
Well Said Sir, thrash them with the facts that you have. You will have better records then those plaintiffs for sure. Wish you a good luck...!!!!. this also would be an eye opener for US crowds too. "make the hey while the sun shines"
Meshlk Monday, 26 September 2011 03:18 AM
Major general, we are with you - as are all peace loving people of Sri Lanka
hillary Monday, 26 September 2011 03:19 AM
These legal system in USA is a shame. Can osama Bill ladens wife go to USA against OBAMA?
Punyasiri K Monday, 26 September 2011 02:56 AM
Excellent strategy!
I wish we have another half a dozen of top diplomat like Gen Shavendra.
This law suit could be boomerang for LTTE with their tail down exposing atrocities. All country loving srilankans must support Gen Shavendra upto the hilt.
Fayad Monday, 26 September 2011 02:43 AM
What a joke a terrorist is suing an army officer ??????
Can Mrs. bin laden sue the US marines for killing her husband ????
Mohan Monday, 26 September 2011 02:39 AM

Tomsamusa Monday, 26 September 2011 02:22 AM
