SAJITH GO ON YOUR OWN YOU WILL BEAT THESE POWER HUNGRY MONSTERS
Hipo Monday, 04 November 2013 09:25 PM
Looks like Sajith is not interested in steering the UNP to victory if he is not the leader.
C.K.Lankaputhra Tuesday, 05 November 2013 12:28 AM
If Sajith leaves, it will help UNP to resolve 90% of their problems.

What Sajith has done is he lead the way for other up and coming leaders to go and for him to stay .He had done more damage to the party than Ranil.
Nihal B Monday, 04 November 2013 05:18 PM
Sajith you are a different UNPer what I mean is UN-Pleasent
Ananda Gunawardena Tuesday, 05 November 2013 08:42 AM
UNP.........Bunch of Jokers & hypocrites.
IRF Tuesday, 05 November 2013 11:26 AM
You should remember how your father worked with JR and waited for his turn. If you work hard to win the party gradually you will get your place one day. don't be hasty you are still too young for the post.
Keerthi Wednesday, 06 November 2013 02:10 AM
Sajith I hope you or one of your allies will read the comments made by the readers to this article. I hope and pray that you will have courage to make the right decision at this crucial moment where the country is at really dangerous situation. Only very few people will understand the dangerous part of that as most of Sri Lankans are illiterate or selfish. So for the sake of the country please do the right thing you will become the President of this country for sure.
Devaka Wednesday, 06 November 2013 03:09 AM
WELL DONE!

DHAMMIKA - you are right, why can,t Sjth take a bold action to reconcile party, he is also just playing trikish with lame reasons/excuses always. He is under cat's paw now - anytime he will be grabbed, so he is trying to get out with some reasons to safeguard himself.
Ratavasiya Monday, 04 November 2013 04:08 PM
You are nobody without UNP and you cannot claim special status because your father was a President. We still remember the quality of governance during your your father's days of Presidency.
Dammika Monday, 04 November 2013 03:30 PM
Go to hell Sajith ... you are just following ............. instructions. UNP in this situation not because of Ranil .... it's purely because of you. True UNPers knows this very well. So wen the time comes these UNPers will decide
mollamaari Monday, 04 November 2013 03:42 PM
This guy should remember people vote for him not for what he has done to people but because of what his father did to poor people of our country. I guess he asking for too much. Before he become a leader he should be a good follower too.
He wont be too much different from the present government if he comes to power
THILAK Monday, 04 November 2013 03:44 PM
you are the son of R Premadasa , shown lack of quality of genuine leader
Prof. Calculas Monday, 04 November 2013 03:56 PM
Yes, losing election after election, it that the decision the true UNPs like. The next PC elections in South will completely wipe the UNP off the political landscape of Sri Lanka. It is just a matter of time.
jagath Monday, 04 November 2013 03:57 PM
well well this is good news to sajith you should lead the party as we all think you are the person for this post we know ranil will not let that happen and let go he is having so much of duty entrusted by the government main duty is to make sure this part will not come up to win any election so sad mr sajith you must form a new party now is the time live the whit house for good we love the party
unp supporter jagath

What a cry baby!
I used to have high hopes that Sajith will grow into a good leader and statesman, but i was wrong. I have been disappointed to see his recent behaviour.... he is simply displaying his immaturity.
Ananda Monday, 04 November 2013 04:06 PM
Good move. Only the name change and all the culprit are there including the Tissa. All these buguers are rejected by people. Karu also must resigne. Good luck to UNP.
Prof. Calculas Monday, 04 November 2013 03:26 PM
Well done and it is time to leave the UNP. You will do better along.
Jumthupala Monday, 04 November 2013 04:09 PM
Remaining UNP"s Will decide in the next Provincial Council Elections,
Haffie Monday, 04 November 2013 04:12 PM
Even after so many humiliating defeats you people don`t have any shame, trying all the tricks to remain in power. With the present arrangement, UNP is fast going to extinction.
Jayasekara Monday, 04 November 2013 04:20 PM
Like Anura in SLFP the day he gets out (and stops making troubles within the part) of the part it will unite and start wining
Rukshan Monday, 04 November 2013 04:25 PM
This man should learn to pull the weight of the party!! He criticizes the UNP more than the government does! and is the main reason for the erosion of votes!
I would rather vote for MR or SF than sajith...
Be Fair Monday, 04 November 2013 04:29 PM
Well, at least you seems to have taken a firm decision at last.
Try and rally more support, look at it more rationally and for the greater good of Sri Lanka and its beloved people, not the party, that will no doubt take you to the level people aspire you to be. If not gov will be there for the rest of our lives, and we shouldn't be complaining........
dharmapala Monday, 04 November 2013 04:46 PM
mr prmadasa you not qulufied to post of UNP, head, most parliament member are not educated, srilankan education is very poor. they are people vote, unwanted element to parliament,
M. Ranaweera Monday, 04 November 2013 04:56 PM
Dear Sajith,
The Bhikku Council is not the UNP. What right has the Bhikkus in that council to dictate terms to the UNP.? You cannot expect leadership to be showered on you. Be patient young man.
