UNP MP Sajith Premadasa who was clamoring for substantial reforms refused to be in the council claiming that the leadership council did not represent wide sections of the party.Mr. Premadasa who spoke to journalists after the working committee meeting said he decided to withdraw from the leadership council as the party had failed to implement proposals made by the Maha Sangha. Giving another reason for the withdrawal he said he did not want to be included in a leadership council that did not represent all sections of the UNP. (Yohan Perera & Chaturanga Pradeep)

I hope and pray that you will have courage to make the right decision at this crucial moment where the country is at really dangerous situation. Only very few people will understand the dangerous part of that as most of Sri Lankans are illiterate or selfish.
