It was his private visit in the interest of general public.
What's the big fuss about?
Bonda Tuesday, 25 January 2011 04:24 PM
When you become the President he looses most of his privacy. He has to account for all his actions to the countrymen.
neville Tuesday, 25 January 2011 04:15 PM
President is a public figure, should report to the Parliamant about his trips. Ranil and others also do the same.
Rajitha Tuesday, 25 January 2011 01:30 PM

Hey Tissa, do you need to know the truth?
It was not really a private visit but as per Mr Obama's request to advice him, ahead of World's Supper Powers Summit on following day. This is top secret and keep it to yourselves.

Even if a leaf shakes UNP wants to know why??? UNPers please note there is no future for you. People know what is right and wrong. Enough pulling wool over the eyes and your days are gone.
Bandu Tuesday, 25 January 2011 08:20 AM
I was listening to these guys over past few years. What I clearly noticed from UNP was that Talking, talking and talking. After Mr. Premadasa, UNP changed their strategy from “working” to “talking”. Obviously “talking” is much easier than “working”. But this method is being failed even when JVP applied. talk to your voters, they will tell you
jaygoda Tuesday, 25 January 2011 08:17 AM
Tissa, why, do you hear some one calling your name "Tissa, Tissa in your dreams ? Please, stop hunting the young upcoming UNP leaders and look for a mango tree or few trees which will bear fruits. Listen to a proper messenger than following that fruitless old tree. It will be good for the country. Don't worry about HE and his trips.

Atthanayake first put your house in order before asking questions. It is up to you to find out what Ranils , Jayalath, Wickramabahu were up to when they were on private visits overseas.. If you can convince the public that your political jokers did justice by the Srilankan public with out holding this nation to ransom then you can ask a question. other wise we will treate you as another political joker like the guys in Tamil Nadu.
Prabu Tuesday, 25 January 2011 08:08 AM
Mr. Thissa, Have you ever asked RW, about his personal visits?
Wara Tuesday, 25 January 2011 08:06 AM
Do you or your party say all the private or official thing to the public or at least to the party itself ?? Ex. Ranil-Praba accord and JR-Rajiv peace accord. How many of you know about it before signing ?? If it is private, what is the right you have to ask to reveal it ??
Isuru Tuesday, 25 January 2011 07:53 AM
