India has played a marvelous game.

    Randi Thursday, 27 March 2014 11:24 PM

thanks for all countries; their brave stand against US and UK

Good Citizen Thursday, 27 March 2014 11:29 PM

What if SL does not comply ?

Good Citizen Thursday, 27 March 2014 11:46 PM

it is biased too. The countries that supports and against USA voted for their own interest but not based on human rights violations in SL. It is like election. You vote for the party regardless of the person who is contesting.

    Prag Thursday, 27 March 2014 11:54 PM

Indian Congress party have taken a sign that they are going to lose this general election. TN will teach them..

    rasika Thursday, 27 March 2014 11:58 PM

As yesterday indicated this is the expected results by some of the Sri Lankan including most of the English news papers and Sinhala news paper owners. We same one of the media organization immediately approached to USA ambasdor to get comment. It seems that they were stationed their with recording equipment to get a statement recorder from her.
India who gave fuel to USA lead camp to bring this note finally let them down specially to take revenge from USA for its insultation to its diplomats not because of Sri Lanka. No daily mirror and its Sunday times can find fault with govt and publish them to hint gove

    dIREsTRAITS Friday, 28 March 2014 12:16 AM

Exactly! beware! Muslims in SL and around the world clearly support SL and its not the first time we have witnessed this. They are part of whom protecting Sinhala Buddism. This is exactly why the wasted interests want a clash between Muslims and Sinhalese to further isolate any support. Stupid morons like BBS, JHU who think they are the true saviors are the very same who are the worst enemies of Sinhala Bhuddism.

All of us can make whatever comments we wish to make. The resolution has been passed. What is interesting is that those who have abstained are those really saying "YES" and if they had said "NO", the resolution would not have been passed!!

All those who have voted against the resolution have the same back ground as Sri Lanka except for just about two or three countries.

    Karuna Friday, 28 March 2014 03:00 AM

India knew this resolution going to be passed successfully. But abstained from voting, to make sure Indian atrocities in SL with the IPKF is not dug out by SL.

    Sayed Thursday, 27 March 2014 11:16 PM

Saudi Arabia and UAE are used to abusing Sri Lankan maids. They don't see anything wrong if any Sri Lankan, regardless of their ethnicity, is mistreated. Great to see Kuwait abstained.

Well, now there is no wau to hide. SL is a disgrace around the world. Al lteh demos and propganda has prooved nothing. The genocide committed cannot be hidden for long. Now with economic and travel sanctions poverty will increase.

12 countries that didn't want to bow down to the U.S.A but didn't want to upset them at the same time. Clear signs that the world order is changing. Time to change your foreign policies America, or be ready to be the lead balloon. Good that India didn't allow Tamil Nadu to hold it at ransom.
