The government is pursuing the release of lands which were used as high security zones to its owners, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resource Management said today in parliament.  (YP)

    Have you been entrusted with providing irrigation facilities to those lands? If not why you are worried about land matters when your task is irrigation?

    This is a good move for whatever reason it is going to be done. The lands in the north have gained high sale value now and the owners are eagerly waiting.

    Milinda got the seat once thanks to UNP votes. Never again in CMB. Perhaps he should try Hambantota or Gampaha Distric. Eventually they all will be cornered to those two, that too if they are lucky.

    Sounds familiar. Isnt this what countries like India have been asking us to do. Now that Emergency is out as demanded, this could be the next logical step to keep the Big Brother happy.
