The much awaited UNP reforms proposals was handed over to Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasingha by the UNP Reforms Committee today, Committee member John Amaratunga told Daily Mirror online.
The report was handed over to Wickramasingha in the parliamentary complex by the Commitee members.
It was reported earlier that the the six member committee appointed to look into the re-organisation of the UNP, has stated in its report that an election would be held to elect office bearers of the party only if the suitable persons could not be appointed by consensus. The report has stated that past precedents should not be changed at any rate.
The report is expected to be handed over to the UNP Working Committee by Wickramasingha and the Working Commitee after studying the report will present it at the UNP National Convention scheduled to be held next month. (Daily Mirror online)

Change of leadership is mandatory before any reforms for UNP to come to power.

Ranil can be the suprime advisor , Sajith should be the party leader. Anyway Ranil must advice regarding the foreign policy etc

I think this so called reforms don't emphasize much on the change in leadership. So, what's the use of it, when the foundation is not solid ??

Again UNP is going to be under defeat for any up-coming elections as long as RW is there as party leader. Pls hand over leadership to Sajith as leadership qualities and bold voice are well-liked by the people of this country. More over he works for poor people like his father did. so he is the right person for being a UNP Leader.
