UNP Deputy Leader and MP Sajith Premadasa today said he is ready to contest next Presidential polls if the present UNP leader Ranil Wickremasinghe does not contest as the UNP candidate.

Speaking at the party convention today, MP Premadasa stated he is of the firm belief that none other than the party leadership should contest next Presidential polls representing the party. “If the present leader does not wish to contest under any circumstance, I wish to make this an opportunity to announce my willingness to contest as the Presidential candidate for UNP while providing leadership for the party as well.” (LP)

Sorry Sajith, first learn not to scream so loud at meetings. People like to hear voices pleasing to their ears.

Without being able to defeat the Ranil's regime, how can you defeat Mahinda's powerful regime..

One thinks this us his party. The other thinks this is his father's party. But actually this is PEOPLE's PARTY.
Work for party's unity not for further deterioration. Try to win the next election.

Leadership battle continues. No one of you will be the next president.

No, not necessary. Learn to wait for your time gathering more maturity to be a leader of the people of this country, and not just an usurper who thinks the post is a family heritage.

    Ravi Saturday, 01 December 2012 11:06 PM

Yes, we will call you if necessary.

    Wow! What lofty ambitions.

Jagath Leanagej Saturday, 01 December 2012 06:50 PM

Agreed. Unless you contest , M.R. will win easily.

    Rahmathullah Saturday, 01 December 2012 06:48 PM

Bold and courageous. You can muster more support than the present leader, who acts like an adviser to present rulers.

    Observer Saturday, 01 December 2012 05:04 PM

I don't think you are ready for this yet... day by day you are loosing your popularity as well...
