That's democratic politics. You have to be power hungry if you want to be elected. Taste it though it bitter.
S.Karu Thursday, 05 May 2011 01:16 PM
MR is laughing now junior is getting ready to be the next President
Labby Thursday, 05 May 2011 05:29 AM
Sajith go fly a kite, you are a known failure. For the past 12 to 15 months all you did was make a big noise and cause disunity within the party.
Alimankade Thursday, 05 May 2011 05:09 AM
The UNP will get nationally disorganised with Ravi's appointment.
channa Thursday, 05 May 2011 03:24 AM
Sajith, if you gave up the leadership fight, now DON'T shout !
spark Thursday, 05 May 2011 03:33 AM
You mean (a) how he gave weapons to LTTE to hit the indian army which was later used to kill the SLA? (b) The STF goon squad under a famous SSP that picked up people AKA "Kola Kotti"? (c) being part of the 1983 riots? (d) Calling policemen to blindly surrender in the east that lead to cold blooded death?
spark Thursday, 05 May 2011 03:27 AM
What you say is true, but Sajith should also not be too greedy for each and every top post available. He also has a very poor understanding, attitude and view of the ethnic problem in Sri Lanka and international community and politics.

What is first....egg or chick.
Nihal Wednesday, 04 May 2011 06:07 PM
I wish you leave the party, you are throwing mud on things your father did.
lala bala Wednesday, 04 May 2011 05:50 PM
The process is democratic. Unfortunately it becomes unconstitutional because of the choice of candidate. He is a proven crook and a scam artiste.
palithaeka Wednesday, 04 May 2011 05:31 PM
Why do you all finish fighting in the house. Where is United Party. When you all fight enemy can destroy you.
freehit Wednesday, 04 May 2011 04:52 PM
Remember the two golden rules in the corporate world, Sajith ? Rule no. 1. -The boss is always right. Rule no.2. - If by any chance the boss is wrong, refer rule no. 1.
Fayad Wednesday, 04 May 2011 04:34 PM
Ranil is messing up the party in style, when sajith settle for deputy leader for party sake,Ranil should have not done such a blunder by appointing Ravi.
David Wednesday, 04 May 2011 04:48 PM
anyway you guys not gonna come to power for next 10 years, so whatever happens doesn't matter
Rufus Norton Wednesday, 04 May 2011 04:38 PM
All this haggling over rules in the book will only sink the party still further while MR is galloping along having his own way
Calistus Jayatilleke Wednesday, 04 May 2011 04:03 PM
It appears that Ranil has learnt democracy from Sajith's father when he worked closely with the latter during the UNP regime as President and Prime Minister!
Banda Wednesday, 04 May 2011 04:05 PM
Green or Blue - all power hungry. No real commitment from either to take the country forward
Silva Wednesday, 04 May 2011 03:52 PM
Ravi K is better than MB who knows only tippex methods. But UNP has no future. Thats for sure.......
Hipo Wednesday, 04 May 2011 03:28 PM
Democracy is really not democratic. But democracy is known to work.
