Describing as “an insult to injury” Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa's assertion that his country would not bow to outside pressure and withdraw the Army from the North, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president M. Karunanidhi on Sunday said the Tamil Eelam Supporters Organisation (TESO)would soon organise a conference to discuss these issues and take a decision.

Recalling a report released by the US secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the major human rights problems were unlawful killings by security forces and government-allied paramilitary groups, often in predominantly Tamil areas, he said such reports further strengthened his argument in favour of a separate Tamil Eelam.( The Hindu)

    Provoked by Sarath Fonseka's statement.

    Mr B. Wijeyasingha Monday, 28 May 2012 11:21 PM

Both Mr. Karunanidhi and the US Congressman should look at the US civil war where after it ended in 1865 the Victorious Union soldiers stayed in the defeated Confederate states for decades and not just 3 years. TESO (Tamil Eelam Supporters Organization) has been resurrected on April 30th in Tamil Nadu. If anything the SL military should increase their presence in all lands claimed for Eelam and have a permanent presence

I think its quite clear that this old man is trying to annoy us an create tension between tamils and sinhalese. Lets ignore this idiot. Mountains don't crumble when dogs bark

    Shamindra Monday, 28 May 2012 11:25 PM

This old man is well past his "used by date" supermarket shelf label ! Come-on, Old Man go home & sleep. If you are still kept awake by bad dreams of Sri-Lanka, go try to get married to your old friend Jayalalitha ! But do not meddle in Sri-Lanka business !

Mike Samson Monday, 28 May 2012 04:19 AM

karunanidhi and hilary clinton mind your own business. mr, mahinda rajapakse is the president of sri lanka not you.

    Amila Monday, 28 May 2012 04:30 AM

Old man, I think you have too many problems of your own in your jurisdiction which are unsolved; putting your nose into someone else's will not solve anything. And BTW we are quiet fine here without the war because of the same army you are referring to.

    Wara Monday, 28 May 2012 04:49 AM

    Exactly.

    BADA-UDA-GEMMBA Monday, 28 May 2012 11:30 AM

    WHO KILLED RAJIV?????
tamil speaking TAMIL NADU can take all the SL tamils and more..... then can live in "PEACE"" ...... UNTIL THERE IS A DEMAND FOR eelam THERE!!!!!!!...........

GOOD RIDDANCE FROM OUR SRI LANKA!!!!!!!

finger on the pulse Monday, 28 May 2012 11:35 AM

Whilst I agree that the army should pull out of the North I think the idea of a seperate state within Sri Lanka is a big no.
As others have pointed out Tamil Nadu is plenty big enough to house what this fool wants.
If 30 yrs of terrorism didn't acheive a seperate state then this idiot must be living on the moon if he thinks it's ever going to happen.
Surely Tamils already have there own state, this Elam if thats what they wish for can be there. I'm sure the world will help with the ferry costs to let them move to there new paradise in India

Yohan Pererao Monday, 28 May 2012 11:50 AM

I am sure you don't want the Deep Penetration Unit of SL army to pay a visit to your mansion right??? Then shut up!!!

    Manik Monday, 28 May 2012 11:47 AM

You can roll up your Tseo or whatever and jam it up ...................

MOHAMED ASFAR Monday, 28 May 2012 05:37 AM

come on..........to win jayalalitha find some other ways. do not bother us.

    Conty Monday, 28 May 2012 12:03 PM

Karunanidhi, I am not rude as most are, but there is a limit to what any one can take. I have reached that limit so I am going to be rude and say to you go F a Duck if you can. Sri Lankans are a proud nation it may not be able to fight the might of India but we will not give up on S/L get that into your bloody head.

    Dinesh Monday, 28 May 2012 05:47 AM

Rcently I read a book about Tamil Nadu Politics (1950's ) and It highlight Mr M. Karunanidhi's dirty politics and change of principles(oposite what he said before) to win election's .Therfore should ingnore his comments...

Aney Machang Monday, 28 May 2012 12:11 PM

    dharmishta Monday, 28 May 2012 12:55 PM

Isn't this just another provincial politician in a country teeming with hundreds such? Is foreign affairs a devolved subject in the mighty indian union? Why should we care about the howlings of a vote hungry provincial politician?

    Oshanda Monday, 28 May 2012 06:25 AM

Looks like he is about to declear separate state in Tamil Nadu.

pee da mossa Monday, 28 May 2012 01:10 PM

We would be delighted if you were hurt by our president's comment or by any other way, Karunanidhi !

pee da mossa Monday, 28 May 2012 01:16 PM

How about UDI for Tamilnadu, k'nidhi ?

    Christo Monday, 28 May 2012 06:34 AM

Hello Karunanidhi, you sit on a wheel chair and try to rule over every one just to make money. Your representatives were coming to Sri Lanka looking for liquor manufacturing licences. That's your service to society. Why not ask the central govt of India to give Eelam to Tamil Nadu? You will be arrested the next day.

    KITT Monday, 28 May 2012 01:24 PM

Isn't that someone talk about a separate state in another country is a serious violation? what If a political party in Sri Lanka talk about separate state in USA for Asians? (CIA will be doing their job right?)
