She completed her childhood education at Sacred Heart Matriculation School She excelled at school and was offered a government scholarship to pursue further education She appears not to have accepted the admission offered to her at Stella Maris College, Chennai (Wiki) If i am not wrong she is a state ranked in her plus2 exams. You can tell these by her command in English. Get your facts right
buffaloa citizen Wednesday, 01 February 2012 08:45 AM
You dd that in 1983 and this country is still suffering from the outcome. Now again it is war crimes, and we have more to come.
buffaloa citizen Wednesday, 01 February 2012 08:48 AM
I wish our leaders also had the same attitude during 1956, 1977, 1983 and again when innocent tamils were getting harrassed, maimed and missing these past two years.
Dheen Wednesday, 01 February 2012 08:51 AM
Diplomacy negative.
Thomas Wednesday, 01 February 2012 09:50 AM
Can our President directly speak to the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, breaking protocol? He should have addressed the request to the Central Govt. of India!
ajith Thursday, 02 February 2012 03:22 AM
This shows Central government has no control on Tamil Nadu????
INDIAN Thursday, 02 February 2012 03:55 AM
On behalf of all Indians I here by openly apologies to all Lankan brothers. Indian Hindu mythology is teaching us that " Guest is the God". This is an act from some stupid individuals and dont think that the whole Indians are like that.
Anjula Thursday, 02 February 2012 03:46 AM
why our executive president appeal to a chief-minister? We would like to remind about "gourawaneeya samayak"! The matter should have discussed with the Indian PM.
Sena Thursday, 02 February 2012 04:20 AM
Instead of trying to say that "she should be told" why not get the central government of India to move in the matter through diplomatic channels. The truth is the next Indian Election is round the corner and Jaya for sure holds the trump card and she is a shrewd politico who holds her cards closer to her chest. The President knows that and its better to communicate with her and "find a friend" who speaks one of our languages just 32 miles away than look to Delhi for intervention where you have to either speak in Hindi or English..
S. Anagath Thursday, 02 February 2012 04:41 AM
These actions are by some small groups or individuals, We had very cordial relationship with Tamil Nadu those days. We must mend fence with them being a neighbour so close. Make the tamils over there to understand the real situation here. Start cricket like those days when we had the Gopalan trophy matches between them and Sri Lanka. President telling Jayalalitha may not bear fruit.
kala.kala46 Thursday, 02 February 2012 04:50 AM
Their is no proffessional and diplomats people in our pariliment to handle these kind of things all we have here in our parliment thugs and drug dealers and corrpt politisians

even our ppl hate indians thy stil can't resist indian movies, indian actors especially indian actresses...
roopa Thursday, 02 February 2012 05:23 AM
Of course, our leaders have the same attitude - do you not realize the Tamils are not considered guests in Sri Lanka, the country of our sinha putras? Only because we consider the Tamils our brothers and sisters that we fight them once in a way. Do you not fight with brothers and sisters? Everyone does.
Guru Wednesday, 01 February 2012 06:10 AM
Jayalalitha doesn't care
honest Wednesday, 01 February 2012 02:55 AM
Only Sri Lanka can change the minds of the Tamilnadu people by changing their attitude to the Tamils in Sri Lanka. Appealing to the Chief Minister is of no use.
DonQuixote Wednesday, 01 February 2012 03:03 AM
Yeah, if not we will have to do something about all the Indians living and working here !
Thomas Wednesday, 01 February 2012 03:28 AM
All visitors to India ( Tamilnadu ) are the guests of that country, it is therefore the bounden DUTY of the State Govt. to ensure safety of every visitor, regardless they are Tamils or Sinhalese.
Nodrog Wednesday, 01 February 2012 03:48 AM
about time we made our annoyance known to the Tamil Nadu jokers. We've had enough of their clown antics.
karu Wednesday, 01 February 2012 03:48 AM
I don't think she will take care at least your request......
Ceylonese Wednesday, 01 February 2012 04:22 AM

kumaraya Wednesday, 01 February 2012 02:25 AM

MK Wednesday, 01 February 2012 06:25 AM
Yes true. But should we promise J'Lalitha that? does SL tamils belong to her??
Sumedha Wednesday, 01 February 2012 06:30 AM
Yes. Because she's not a professional person to held that CM position. She was just a "Baiscope" actress.
Dinesh Wednesday, 01 February 2012 06:43 AM
Will you do the same if it happens to local srilankan ( not a government associate) ??
Dinesh Wednesday, 01 February 2012 06:44 AM
Did you request the same when Bharatha Laxman was killed ?? or only for relatives
Dinesh Wednesday, 01 February 2012 06:46 AM
@ Srilankan- Goverment associates example - KP,Karuna,Pilayan....Nadesan!!!!!
Calistus Jayatilleke Wednesday, 01 February 2012 06:47 AM
Appealing won't do: she needs to be told in no uncertain terms that Sri Lanka is an independent, sovereign country and will not tolerate such treatments to our people and that we also won't tolerate Indian fishermen engaging in illegal fishing in our waters. We expect reciprocation because obviously she knows how many Indian Tamils are in Sri Lanka currently - living and engaging in business as well.
nilgala eththo... Wednesday, 01 February 2012 07:09 AM
