Showers can be expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and the Galle and Matara Districts this afternoon and evening, The Meteorological Department told Daily Mirror online.

Thunder shower which were not prevalent in the island in the past few days also can be expected in some parts of the island. The coastline of the Eastern Province will experience strong winds and scattered showers during the coming hours, Deputy Meteorologist Meril Mendis said. (GS)(Daily Mirror online)
