Britain’s Queen Elizabeth today extended her wishes to President Maithripala Sirisena and Sri Lankans in view of the country’s 67th Independence Day.

“It gives me great pleasure to send my warmest greetings on the celebration of your National Day, together with my best wishes for the happiness and prosperity of the people of Sri Lanka in the coming year,” the queen said in a message.
