Niyama Gon Harakek. This is no ordinary criminal here, gona. This is a man who has made it easy for you wander anywhere in the Country. He should be provided with what is recommended.
Nonsence Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:00 AM
Rehan, you are an idiot.
Are all other prisoners ther have fought the LTTE ? were they all injured in LTTE killing ? Is there any other army commander among them ?
Perhaps, there might be a few more in the future.......
Rohan Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:02 AM
DXB passenger, please don't insult our security forces. We live in Colombo peacefully because of them. You better stay in DXB. Are you a LTTE sympathizer ?
Nandimithra. Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:02 AM
Sorry regret to inform more real criminals like vermins, are outside with political patronage than inside jails. Even murderers like Ministers wife let loose.
Raj Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:02 AM
Yes just to add one more to that, Also one more funy question they ask.
Oya Ko hidha Yana.
Just looking the identification card.
But unable to read even.
Nandimithra. Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:05 AM
Only those in prison for no offence committrd except contesting the King are entitled as they are not criminals.
Oyage sudu kella Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:05 AM
Our hero should be provided with all what he needs. I am going about everywhere in this country safely is because of our General SF.
Pali Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:50 AM
It shouldn't be a hassle. If there needs to be questions asked for security, I dont think this is a problem. This happens in any country.
In UK there were times bags were checked even in train stations and outside in the streets. So what is the big problem just answer the questions.
As you know the tamil tiger terrorists are wiped out, there are a few hanging around who escaped with the civilians.
You need to understand - what a big fuss?
The whole world is on terror alerts!!
Nishantha Rajapakse Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:57 AM
glad to see there are commenters like you...it's a good thing.
Sena Thursday, 18 November 2010 10:53 AM
Not really. In the rush lined the pocket and wanted to get into politics. He needs 5 Star treatment! He needs to be whiter than white!!
DEW Thursday, 18 November 2010 11:16 AM
For contempt of Court the Minister DEW should be sent to Prison for 2 years Like See Bola's Case.
spark Thursday, 18 November 2010 11:21 AM
Yeah...tmrw DEW (another of the kings bootlickers) will state that all such orders need to be ratified by the Ministry of Lavatory.
spark Thursday, 18 November 2010 11:33 AM
What DXB states is true. We cannot hide such ignorant issues under the umbrella of patriotism, race or religion. This is a country for all and their is what is called "State Behavior" that needs to be understood specifically by persons who are working and attached to government bodies or state. We cannot have bandit ministers tying people to trees while state security persons asking hackneyed questions.

Isn't it a shame that the courts has to once again order that an exerciser be provided to SF. And in spite of the prison authorities knowing that SF's cell had a leaking roof, they continued to keep him there (providing him with only one bucket - subsequently 5). And did they wait till SF was recommended treatment at the prison hospital. Isn't keeping prisoners in cells with leaking roofs a violation of human/ fundamental rights. SO WE HAVE VIOLATED HUMAN RIGHTS OF CITIZENS. What more to prove
Percy Mandawala Thursday, 18 November 2010 11:51 AM
Firstly, the LTTE and Praba wanted to kill GSF. Now MR has put him to slow death. No difference between MR & Praba.
Shan Thursday, 18 November 2010 01:11 PM
Not implementing Court Orders means Contempt of Court; am I correct?
Prasanna Friday, 19 November 2010 08:56 AM
Its very strange how SF has all of a sudden become a hero, for all those who even did not utter a word in support of crushing the LTTE then.
Shaik Anwar Ahamath Friday, 19 November 2010 10:30 AM
Unless you stop and search everybody, you are guilty of profiling, which is discriminatory and illegal. The problem with stopping everybody is that not everybody understands the language depicted and would probably be construed as resistance and the consequences are too dire to contemplate.
Saradial Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:22 AM
Only in Sri Lanka Court has to order repair roof of prison. what authorities doing?
manmohan Thursday, 18 November 2010 08:47 AM
Bless the hero.... oh ... god bless him... the one who gave 'Nidahasa" to nation.....
Dinesh Thursday, 18 November 2010 08:47 AM
This is another instance questions who is superior. How may times SF was denied to go Parliament sessions even after orders from the court. How many times court would have ordered prisons officials to provide SF with facilities to exercise for his good health. Still court has to give orders. Is this this the best court can do for not complying with its orders. If I flouted court order, will the order from court be same. Where is the law of this country??
lankaman Thursday, 18 November 2010 08:49 AM
The hopes of a nation grateful to our war hero our upheld by our independent judiciary
DXB Thursday, 18 November 2010 08:54 AM
Yes , the country's situation is not ; what the expatriate work force expected upon cleaning the terrorism ,
Last Saturday I was going from Air Port over Kelaniya bridge , Police stopped me to check my Identification though It is very clear that I was coming from Air port as I used the Air Port cab ; The following are the questions they asked me ;
Oya koy rate Indaladha enne ?
Bag eke Athule Monawada thiyanne ?
Still he did not bother to see my Identification though I gave him the passport to check my profession and identification.
Mona flight ekede away ? etc ..
I request Media to have an under cover expose of this hassles at Kelaniya bridge ..........It is clear that they look for something from Poor Labours and house maids.
Unarmed Gunman Thursday, 18 November 2010 08:58 AM
Country does not have law and order now. Because they only carry out the KING's order. We can trust the words of the courts because they are manipulated.
Dheen Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:00 AM
The judiciary has woken up after a deep slumber. Now everything else will fall inline.
ruwan Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:08 AM
People who try to maipulate judicary are terrorist than Prabakarn.
gona Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:12 AM
So now all prisoners are entitled to exercise machines or does the law treat others with indifference. Does this also mean that if you have the money to pay lawyers to take your case to court you can ask for all manner of things, special food, mobile phones, Satellite TV, King Size beds?
w g l Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:16 AM
what man in the prison same time i can not believe this man in the prison so much did to our country so many time LTTE wanted kill him but our country man put him prison this is only i can say
NADARAJAH SETHURUPAN Thursday, 18 November 2010 08:28 AM
Court order to repair the roof of the jail? "God Bless Mother lanka"
MK Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:25 AM
Aney there are some criminals also in there who need exercising machines.. please provide them also those and more suitable facilities. sin no.
Smart Aleck Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:30 AM
Will the Minister guy also overrule this Court Order?
Rehan Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:31 AM
Isn't it unfair to only provide such facilities to SF.. The court should give an order to facilitate every one in prison or no one at all..
ND Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:32 AM
People worry about law only when they are disadvantaged, or when SF is suffering. Rest of the time, its okay.
Naleen Pradeep Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:40 AM
Court order for reparing a roof ! Wonder of Asia !!!
Dheen Thursday, 18 November 2010 09:44 AM
Hey guys! if the Court ordered the great fraudster of the 21st century Sakvithi's children to be educated in English medium why not Sarath Fonseka who gave leadership to win the war given an exercise machine to keep him in good health as recommended by the doctors.
