Nobel price for wt? Killing media personalities and assaulting them ?

    Labby Monday, 04 October 2010 01:30 PM

Let's hope this protest will not fizzle out after some time, as it always happens in this country. True, the government will do nothing about it but it will be a good eye-opener to the masses who are still reluctant to speak out against this dictatorial rule.

    nalin Monday, 04 October 2010 01:34 PM

All Lawyers of the Country must come to Colombo Court of Appeal when the Writ Application against taken up before the President of Court of Appeal. All Lawyers must remind to the judges that if justice is not done according to law they and their children who have been treated by the Government in various ways will have to suffer severe consequences not in law but by people's powers.

    hewage Monday, 04 October 2010 01:34 PM

How come the lawyers do protest in front of the high court.Do they undustand the law of the country. And how they disturb the prison officers doing their job. When they block the vehicle any body can blast a bomb or shoot. If something happened like that do you take the responsibility or just pass it to the goverment. Please answer honestly. If you are sure why dont aurgue in the court proove and get him released.Thats why he had brought in to the court. Take the time for that without wasting time of other people.yours time we dont care. You can dance anywhere as you like but dont disturb genaral public which is a crime that you can be punished. If you lawyers dont know this leave your black coats pls.

Ossan Salam - Doha Monday, 04 October 2010 02:52 PM

Anyway... it is not a good sign demonstrating or chanting slogans in front of the courts..... the case to be challanged in side the court but not out side....we do not have to teach law for lawyers

    Sue Monday, 04 October 2010 03:05 PM

The honest answer is "is there a law of the country"? and if so, no one is sure anymore that justice will be done as it should be. Mervyn Silva is a good example and if you want more examples can give some more. Please don't look thru blue colored glasses and you will be able to see a clear picture of exactly what's happening.
