What nonsense!!!! will Lebanon or any other coutries allow us to protest against in their countries......let them go stage drama in their "pickled culture " country !
Api Nagimu Saturday, 20 November 2010 04:26 AM
Lebanon is actually doing really well right now. Its peaceful and a darling tourist hotspot amongst travelers, especially Europeans, more than Sri Lanka in fact (although we're catching up). And also, the couple may have just attended the rally - i dont see the JVP shouting the way they do in ENGLISH, so I don't see how the lebanese couple could have voiced their protests in SINHALESE. It would have looked like a funny "bi-scope" to them because JVP rallies are hardly ever dignified.
Rushdi al Ayad Saturday, 20 November 2010 11:54 AM
talking about democracy if a Sri Lankan gad done this in Lebanon what would have happend
Mynah Bird Saturday, 20 November 2010 05:09 PM
Good move. Lebanese should do protests in their own country about the way they treat foreign house maids.
apsara Saturday, 20 November 2010 07:32 PM

Wonder What exactly they did? So we should not jump to conclusions. Anyway I am sure we would have got a jolly good canning if we voiced our opinion in lebanon.

Lebanon.
I have seen foreign tourists climb coconut trees, taste kasippu, milk cows, plough paddy fields, etc, for fun. May be this two were doing it for fun.
Dave Richards Friday, 19 November 2010 03:36 PM
Lucky Mohamed. He was just deported. Any other Mohamed with Sri Lankan nationality would have been jailed, hit by patriotic Kelaniya people or simply vanish like Prageeth Ekneligoda.

Ruhunu Puthra Friday, 19 November 2010 03:43 PM
They chose the wrong time (midst of an anti Govt protest) to show their sympathy, which was rather naive on their part .
