Presidential candidate accused of teledrama script piracy

The fraud investigations department of the Mount Lavinia police said they are probing a complaint against a Presidential candidate who is alleged to have pirated a script of a teledrama to produce a television series after altering the original story.

The Police have initiated steps to question the candidate on the alleged piracy of the script sequel to a complaint made to the Mount Lavinia Police by the script writer of the teledrama.

The police say they will question the candidate within the next few days over the allegations.
