The saudis are ruthless criminals and land where the sharia is applied in the most wrongful manner. God save this girl.
Imran Hameed Wednesday, 27 October 2010 04:48 AM
Shakir, we who live in Saudi Arabia know too well the state of the sharia. Do keep your primitive opinions to yourself. What the world needs is more tolerant and moderate muslims...definitely no narrow minded people like you.
Shakir Tuesday, 26 October 2010 09:44 AM
Our president should not interfere in the affairs of Muslim countries. They should deal with this under their law. Mahinda has no right to get involved in Sharia.
Mohamed Shafraz Tuesday, 26 October 2010 04:56 AM
Br Rifai I wondering whether you have any Idea about Islamic Law. in this case Saudi King has no rights to pardon, in this case crime has committed against an individual only parants of Baby can pardon. Only king can do is request for mercy from parants of Baby. Saudi authority can arrange a meeting between Rizana and Parants of Baby and let her to request Pardon on behalf of Allah . Lets pray Allah for Rizana return SL.
Calistus Jayatilleke Tuesday, 26 October 2010 02:21 AM
Messenger: Great comment and very appropriate! It is only those who know how to pardon others who should ask others to grant mercy!

They will tell MR that "ONLY A FAMILY MEMBER SHOULD ASK FOR PARDON AND CLEMENCY".
JC Monday, 25 October 2010 09:14 PM
Dear MR, you can be the greatest president in the world if you realese SF !
nandasena Monday, 25 October 2010 08:41 PM
Your excellency, practice what you preach!!!! There are too many mass graves in Sri Lanka!!!!
raymond Monday, 25 October 2010 08:22 PM

Daniel Monday, 25 October 2010 06:35 PM
Sarath fonseka is in Jail for what he has done,

mallie Monday, 25 October 2010 02:19 PM
Can some Head of State take the lead & request for clemency for Sri Lankan War Hero our own SF?
anura Monday, 25 October 2010 05:00 PM

justitia Monday, 25 October 2010 03:37 PM
Great move by our President! Thank you and wish you are successful in this most noble deed.We are with you behind this.
Ali Khan Monday, 25 October 2010 03:22 PM
Arabs inhuman behavior tarnish the image of Islam among other religions. They are vehemently chasing away those who wish to embrace Islam by their animal attitude.
Nandimithra Monday, 25 October 2010 03:12 PM
No better than MR himself who does not heed even the Mahanayakes. Like SF case only Rizana should beg for pardon - as per MR philosophy.
sam Monday, 25 October 2010 03:10 PM
Request might work since Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia both ruling by Kings. (Non democratic countries)
Hashmat Monday, 25 October 2010 02:56 PM
MR take this matter with Saudi government this is an accident by an inexperience teenage girl.
If they need blood money Hope Daily Mirror will take-on the campaign with the well wishers. to collect the money required to free this poor girl.
Faqi Monday, 25 October 2010 02:51 PM
I doubt whether this monstrous regime in KSA will accede to any diplomatic maneuvers. If she was from a western country they would not dare execute this poor girl who was a minor. We should stop sending maids to KSA. Period.
pd Monday, 25 October 2010 02:50 PM
tks your excellency u are a great leader for people of srilanka. this is a absurd judgement. also pls stop sending maids outside SL. make all efforts to free this poor soul! may God bless you!
m rifai nazim Monday, 25 October 2010 02:47 PM
Great move you Excellency. But i doubt the adamant rulers would accede to your request. The Saudis are no second to Taliban.
Mohd Monday, 25 October 2010 02:25 PM
We are with you Mr. on this so Please try your level best to get back rizana to SL....
