MR to request for clemency

The “clemency request is currently being processed” External Affairs Ministry sources said today
The government has taken up the matter of the Rizana Nafeek to a diplomatic level after the Supreme Court in Riyadh endorsed the death sentence given to the teenage maid.
The teenage Sri Lankan maid Rizana Nafeek was Indicted and found guilty of alleged death of an infant while bottle feeding in 2005. (Daily Mirror online)

Our president should not interfere in the affairs of Muslim countries. They should deal with this under their law. Mahinda has no right to get involved in Sharia.

Br Rifai I wondering whether you have any Idea about Islamic Law. in this case Saudi King has no rights to pardon, in this case crime has committed against an individual only parants of Baby can pardon. Only king can do is request for mercy from parants of Baby. Saudi authority can arrange a meeting between Rizana and Parants of Baby and let her to request Pardon on behalf of Allah . Lets pray Allah for Rizana return SL.
