Ven Thera pointed out that that it was Minister Mervin Silva who introduced the Vesak Zone in Kiribathgoda. Addressing a gathering at the opening ceremony of the Vesak Zone at the Kalaniya Rajamaha Vihara, Ven. Thera further said that the people of Kalaniya loved Minister Mervin Silva for fulfilling the long outstanding civic needs of the area.
The Minister stressed the need to avoid conflicts and to create an atmosphere for all communities and religious groups to live in peace and harmony. (Lal S.Kumara)
