Prageeth case: Warrant on IP for not being in court

Homagama Magistrate has issued a warrant on Colombo Crime Division (CCD) Inspector M.P. Sudesh Wijesinghe for not being in court to give evidence in the magisterial inquiry on the missing journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda.

IP Wijesinghe was not present in Court when it was taken up for hearing. He had absented himself without prior notice

The magisterial inquiry is being conducted on a complaint made by senior journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda’s wife Sandya. Mr. Ekneligoda who worked for ‘Lankaenews’ website went missing on January 24, 2010.
