Power cuts to be re-scheduled

The Ceylon Electricity Board said that certain areas in the country would experience power cuts lasting 2 hours and 15 minutes during the daytime, while 45 minute power cuts would be imposed during the night, in certain identified areas.The power cuts are as a result of a breakdown at the Lakvijaya and Kerawalapitiya power plants, the CEB announced.
The CEB further said that it estimated up to five days to be required for complete restoration of the plants.

This is becoming a common occurance. A commission should be appointed to investigate the quality of the above power plants installed and whether they have been constructed to the the specified standards. If not action should be taken on all parties concerned without considering their positions When Norichcholai power plant was being constructed the then Minister of Power said that with its installation we would get cheap electricity. But what are we getting now? High electricity charges with frequent breakdowns and power cut?
