Police seek assistance from Kotte mayor

Senior DIG of Western Province has started an immediate investigation looking into the statement made by Kotte Mayor Jagath Ranawaka stating that drugs could not be eradicated from Kotte area due to a few corrupt policemen.

The DIG has sent a letter to the Kotte Mayor asking for information revealed by him in his statement and the police has sought his assistance to eradicate drugs from the Kotte area.
