This is not to scare wild elephants but motorists who are in their way when they are racing each other to the next stop.

Well done to the authorities and media for bringing this topic into the spotlight. Although many ignored the day of silence, it was indeed quieter and less fraught on my journey home yesterday. Every day should be like this (and better) not just one special day. I don't believe it's the driving skills that need improving, it's the attitude of people once they get behind the wheel. Only public shame and condemnation of this behaviour will reduce this.
But only 9 busses with infringements? What are the legal decibel levels? At 112 decibels, damage can occur with only one minute of exposure.
At 140 decibels, immediate nerve damage can occur.

Hey Batman! Watch out when you take the law onto your own hands. Kpaaw! might be the next ring in your ear. Who the hell do you think you are?

Can you implement this in Dehiwela too. Buses don't stop horning. The junction is so noisy. Dehiwela Police should take steps to stops this.

No other options! give them the first warning. Good work done by the Police for introducing the limitation of Tooting the Horn Sound.
