Please check whether she was involved in drug traficking. With a DPL Passport she had unhindered passage in and out of airports with her baggage. Considering the amount of wealth this couple had amassed during a short period of time, there should be some involvement in the drug business. Why did it take so long to take her in? Please check the identity of people maneuvering "behind the scene".
Donny Tuesday, 24 February 2015 01:15 PM
Hope the govt will take stern action against these two crocks ASAP. This is how the recognition to Sri lankan passport even in countries like Cambodia, Myanmar have no real respect. Just forget about Western countries. Mr Booruwansa i this what you called patriotism. Go to hell with your wife.

This is very serious issue, people very closely watching how the new government handle this issue. If the government interfere and stop the investigation conducted by police and courts, people will not keep any faith on the government. These culprits needs to be punished

Traveling on a diplomatic passport obtained Through forged documents is an imprisonable Offense. It is also deeply suspicious as to why she had used the said passports for very short visits (obviously not for holiday),to countries considered business and financial hubs.
malin Tuesday, 24 February 2015 09:53 AM
I think the onus is on the part of the Visa Officer for issuing without verifying the bona fide of the application and not the applicant.

This is fine example where, children have to protected by state when parents under go difficulties.Difficulties can be one or both send to jail, one or both get hospitalized, one or both met death due to accidents, one or both get separated, one or both moved to far away for employment, one or both find difficulties to earn a living etc. These happened to many. Then it is the time that social service department, child and women protection authority,Samurdi Authority ,priests and nuns of temples or probation departments or other through court order has to step in to protect the innocent children to find their shelter and education continued un interrupted.Hope country will solid the mechanism to protect all voiceless children no matter they are rich or poor
