If the Government earns from the sale of liquor by way of excise duty it has a legal obligation to ensure that the Liquor manufactured is of quality. Why are there no quality checks on liquor such as by the Sri Lanka Standards Institute.? If it is because of the matata titha policy then stop earning revenue from the production and sale of liquor..

Your Idea is brilliant. Bars may close but, there will be Kasippu joints everywhere run by the politicians. Farmers will give up cattle farming or they will starve the old unproductive cows and bull calves to death.
