Pakistan Police Narcotics team in Sri Lanka

A team of three officials of the Pakistan Police Narcotics Bureau have arrived in Sri Lanka to help the investigations carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) following the discovery of the largest ever heroin haul of 261 kg detected in Sri Lanka recently.

Police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said the visiting Pakistani police team would carry out extensive investigations into the incident together with the PNB.

He further said one Pakistani national was remanded in Pakistan while another was remanded in Sri Lanka, in connection with the heroin smuggling and the special police team would coordinate the investigations carried out in both countries.(Ajith Siriwardana)

    Half the haul has already vanished into thin air. When this team completes their investigation the balance will also b a mystery. Investigations are going on, but nothing remaining to produce as evidence.

    They must ignore who brought it to Lanka. FIRST they must find the govt. culprits and criminals who got 1/2 of it disappeared. What hope a country has if drugs, crime, rape, murder etc are part and parcel of government activities and if the so called guardians of law are part and parcel of crimes??????
