    Street dogs are barking.

Indeed, oppositions have no other way to keep their innocent supporters hopes alive.

Janaka Perera, Ranjan Ramanayake, Rossi Fernanado & SF...

Now they have got nothing else....

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 07:11 PM

    Beginning of the end?

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 07:37 PM

'Never say die' until democracy is established? 'It isn't over, until the fat lady sings'!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 07:57 PM

    American hegemony at work here!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 08:24 PM

It was truly nice to see the 'People's President' on stage!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 10:49 PM

I hope this goes from strength to strength, until justice prevails!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 10:51 PM

The opposition and all those who love democrary should do everything possible, within the framework of the law, to protect our rights & freedoms!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 11:31 PM

Blocked roads are negligible, in a fight for justice! This is the start.

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 12:29 AM

Indeed, "the beginning of the end" of suppressing our democratic rights! The crowds were neither brought nor lured there ...

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 09:13 AM

Without pulling innocent people into trouble, if the government has rigged the election, go to the courts. Don't harrass people on the road.

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 09:14 AM

Roads were blocked because people took to the streets; not to create chaos! If people cannot speak through the ballot in free and fair elections, we have to protest the abolition of democracy in our country & peacfully demonstrate to have it restored.

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 09:31 AM

Sane people should understand the value of a candidate like SF because he is one who cannot be bought or cowed down by the brute force of the Executive.God may protect him

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 06:49 PM

Well done, General! Please fight for democracy! We need people like you!

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 10:55 AM

well, done its a good move..

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 11:05 AM

JVP may be behind this as aorganising protest rallies is the only thing they are capabale of.

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 11:36 AM

ONCE AGAIN, THE CORRUPT GOVT HAS PROVED ITSELF THAT IT CANNOT TOLERATE ANY OPPOSITION TO THEIR UNDEMOCRATIC ACTIONS. SF LOOKS TO ME A GREAT HERO THIS COUNTRY BADLY NEEDS.

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 12:17 PM

Whose Democratic rights ? Come on Saradiel just accept the people's verdict. Of course stil UNP can flex thier muscle in Colombo areas where thay had considerable gains but it does not represent the opinion of the majority. Anyway, let the vanquished vent thier anger as a way of repairing the dented egos. Poor guys.

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 12:54 PM

we are with you General 100%

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 01:06 PM

    Ohama yang.... Go Fonseka Go

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 01:07 PM

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 01:09 PM

Its time.... only way to say what is our rights to the govt....

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 04:00 PM

Unless the Opposition comes to reality and address the issues that cost them the Election they will have to continue road blocks, tooting horns in protest & continue to languish in the opposition and become clowns of Lanka.

    Thursday, 04 February 2010 04:19 PM

We are with you!! go ahead.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 02:26 PM

road blocks are a small price to pay for DEMOCRACY

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 10:52 AM

This is mainly due to the governments stubborness.Poor office and buisiness community suffer. This will further hamper the credibility of MR's regime allover the world.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 10:56 AM

Well done General. Teach the law breakers a good lesson. Road blocks no-one cares as all the roads are belongs to you Sir.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 11:18 AM

this is a tactic of the opposition for the coming general election in order to keep their voters enthusiastic because they have no other alternative or slogans.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 11:24 AM

Waste of time for Protestors & others.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 11:31 AM

    Ah! Democracy at work.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 11:40 AM

OK. OK. we are happy. Now, would you please do not block the roads.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 11:58 AM

THIS COULD BE THE BEGINNING !

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 02:50 PM

so what ? Losers lost already.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 03:14 PM

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 03:20 PM

Poor opposition they are triyan to mislead the people's of Srilanka one's again and again ..this tipe of politician canot be popular... very harm full for trhe country.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 03:23 PM

If the govt didnt get the votes they claim to have got..the masses would move to topple it. Iran, Phillipines are the examples.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 03:35 PM

That is the only thing that they can do

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 03:48 PM

well done guys go for it safeguard the democracy for srilanka!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 06:16 PM

TIME WILL TELL, which section of the people could make sense and which couldn't!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 06:18 PM

There were no blocks at these locations ... vehicles were moving normally, although there was a crowd.

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 06:37 PM

The end result of SF's candidacy is more instability and more incidents ... these people simply don't want the county to develop under MR!

    Wednesday, 03 February 2010 06:38 PM

Well done! General, you are our hero! Don't give up!
