Hardly a few days passed since the calling off of trade union action by nurses, when another nurses’ trade union threatens trade union action starting from tomorrow against what they called an ‘intimidation to their duty’ by family health officials.

The President of the All Ceylon Nurses’ Union, Gamini Kumarasinghe said family health officers had begun signing arrivals and departures of duty in a wrong manner avoiding signing in the book, ‘General 18’ as required by the administrative regulations.

According to my view if family health officers did a wrong thing there are official procedures or legal procedures that they could get action.

I think it is not the problem. they had some mentality that we became second to officers below our grade. I think nurses do not have the humanity more than common people today. If do not do away with inferior qualities. The whole country will be soon on danger. We can see where we are towards today. All are selfish.
