November 12 has been declared a Day of Mourning for Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera who passed away in Singapore this morning.

At a meeting held this morning at the Kotte Naga Viharaya it was decided to hold the funeral on November 12 at 3 p.m. at the parliament grounds with full state honours.

Primier Ranil Wickremesinghe also participated in the meeting.

It was his dream to create a just society free from corruption and political garbage. He toiled for it day and night, and finally could gather a foundation stone for it with cracks all over it. We are grateful to you for what you did venerable Sir.
