Terrorisism had been abolished by use of the might of the Military.People should be permitted to enjoy the freedom and choose their own political leaders democraticaly and military should not be used to force them to elect people nominated by the Govt. It will be nice if the valiant troops are withdrawn and given rest at their hometowns and absorbed in Government services

Who actually won the war Sinhalese? they never meant when they started the offensive against LTTE. They actually said it is a humanitarian operation.

ඔබතුමා යුද්ධය ජය ගත් බව ඇත්ත .අප එයට කෘතඥ වෙමු. එහෙත් එයින් පසු නව මාවතක් කර රට ගෙන යාමට ඔබට පැහැදිලි දර්ශනයක් ඇති බව නම් අපට නොපෙනේ. දෙමල ප්‍රදේශ වල සිංහල බෞද්ධ සංස්කෘතිය පැතිරීම තුලින් දෙමල ජනතාවට සහනයක් දී ඔවුන්ගේ හදවත් දිනා ගැනීමට හැකිවේ යයි ඔබ සිතන එක ඉතාමත් භයානක ප්‍රවන තාවයකි . ලෝකය සමානාත්ම තාවය මත ඉදිරියට යයි. දියුණු ලෝකයේ තව කෙනෙකුගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් පාගා ගෙන ඉදිරියට යා නොහැක. එය බුදු දහමට කරන විශාල නිගරුවක්ද වනු ඇත . අවශ්‍ය වන්නේ දෙමල ජනතාවට ඔවුන්ගේ සංස්කෘතිය හා අයිතිවාසිකම් සුරැකිය හැකි පරිසරයක් මවා දී තවත් radical දෙමල අරගලයක් ඇතිවීමට තිබෙන ඉඩකඩ අහුරාලීමයි. බොහොම පළල් විනිවිද පෙනෙන දෘෂ්ටියක් මේ සඳහා අවශ්‍ය වේ . නැතිනම් අප නැවතත් අගාධය කරා ඇදී යනු නොඅනුමානය . මෙම අර්බුදය අළු යට තිබෙන ගිනි පුපුරක් සේ කලක් යටපත් වී තිබී නැවතත් පසුකලෙක මතුවේ. එදිනට දෙමල නායකත්වය ප්‍රභාකරන් කල වැරදි නොකරනු ඇත .එහි ප්‍රතිපලයක් ලෙස ඔවුන්ට හා ලෝකයට දෙන්නට අපට උත්තර නැතිවනු ඇත.මේ භයංකර දිනය මේ යන විධියට ගියොත් කවදා හෝ ලඟා වීම කිසිකෙනෙකුට වැළක්විය හැකි නොවනු ඇත.

People wants equal rights not the buildings the international community can see. They want their lands, houses, their livelyhood. They can build the rest themselves, and no need for the military to do it.

The military is great, sucks that their commander who did so much was jailed and treated like a traitor. I respect the military and the people involved in finishing the war, and non of it would have been possible without all parties concerned working together. The government, president, the people of this country, and most definitely the military.
Sucks that in the aftermath the commander was jailed, the cost of living has never been this high. People have never been so desperate to leave this country (the escalating number of boat loads apprehended shows this.) More and more loans are taken everyday, and its getting tougher and tougher to live!!!! Do something great take this opportunity of peace that everyone fought so hard to achieve and use it to ensure that our people are looked after, instead of looking after only those close to you.
