May be people don't care may be people are fedup. but what they don't understand is that their vote is the only thing that can send the message.abstinence isn't going to improve anything.

The people know very well now, regardless of how they vote the result is the same : resoouding victory to the UPFA, so why bother at all. Welcome to the Five Star Demo-Crazy of the Miracle of Asia.

To whom they need to vote?
If there is a donkey in the fray then people would have a good choice.

People are fed really fed up, but the thing is ultimate result is government is winning by vast majority. opposition can make regime change but first needs leadership change in the main opposition.

weha - When total votes cast nor who they were for won't matter a dime and results which beggars belief, are the order of the day , is it any wonder apathy sets in?
Manik Saturday, 08 September 2012 10:21 AM
Now the political crooks might say that people do not vote and therefore we do not need elections. Half of the blame should go to the jackass who is leading the opposition.
Gilmart Saturday, 08 September 2012 11:51 AM
Wait for the results to know the real turnout....

Voter turn out does not matter, the boxes are already stuffed and as in previous Elections the ruling party in the corrupt, lawless Banana Republic win. This is no surprise as we all have seen how they violated all the Election Laws. God save former democratic Sri Lanka.
