Good to see something is done in Kandy. But need to see it to believe it. Something should be done to prevent lake pollution also, where well to do people living around it is dumping raw sewage in to it

Please do something to ease the traffic in Kandy.it takes more than 2 hours to reach Kandy from Pilimathalawa to Kandy during peek hours of every day.It is worst on Saturday and Sunday. If you are travelling from Colombo ,It takes three hours to reach Kadugannawa,(nearly 100 Kilometers ) then it takes another two hours(if you are lucky ) to reach Kandy from Kadugannawa (10-15 Kilometers ) .you have to count on Waste of Fuel Time and the air pollution due to burning fuel ,

Non-Kandy People better not comment on this. They have no idea about traffic in Kandy.

This is entirely wrong according to the traffic survey results and topographic situation within kandy. Numbers of technical proposals and studies were done at different engineering levels and only feasible option is to construct a tunnel by passing kandy city connecting eastern end Thannekumbura and Wiliyam Gopallawa Mw-Suduhumpola. During previous government a detailed study on this was done and final layout was finalized having a exist at Rathubokkuwa -ampitiya. However this proposal will again increase the traffic and this proposal is not technical and only for words and will not become a reality.

As a foreigner I have often visited Kandy and admired the Tooth Temple and the lake. I really hope the people in charge will reconsider building a bridge over the Kandy lake, because it will make a scar in this beauty.I hope they will consider other ways to ease traffic, like tunnels or ring roads. If that cost more it will still be worth it for the future, and it will give employment for many workers. Please keep the Kandy Lake untouched!

If the closed road near Dalada Maligawa opens then you dont need to spend millions to construct a bridge over the lake..

As a Kandyan I always admired the Tooth Temple and the lake. I really hope the people in charge will reconsider building a bridge over the Kandy lake, because it will make a scar in this beautiful city and lake

Please do not make this mistake, it will ruin the entire beauty of the lake and Dalada Maligawa, would suggest to move the goodshed bus station and introduce the metro train concept between peradeniya

Kandy lake is the only thing that is untouched so far if you improve the current road system around the lake and also look into improve the public transport system which is untouched since the British Empire left sriLanka 200 years ago.I am totally against ruining the kandy lake
