The names of the Members of Parliament elected at the recent General Elections, apart from those from the Kandy and Trincomalee districts were to be gazetted tonight. The Elections Department said that the names of 117 UPFA members, 46 UNP members, 12 TNA and 5 from the DNA of General Sarath Fonseka were to be gazetted tonight.
Meanwhile the results of the Kandy and Trincomalee Districts are yet to be released owing to malpractices in some electorates. A re-poll in these areas will be held of 20 April.

Whethr they are thugs or criminals, they were elected by people. So people should be intelligent to select decent and honest people to the parliament, if they exists in their contituencies.
