Nalin in place of Dayasiri

Nalin Bandara Jayamaha from the Bingiriya electorate will fill the parliamentary seat which fell vacant with the resignation of UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekara.

Mr. Jayamaha who contested at the 2010 general election secured 29,669 preferential votes and was placed 6th in the preferential voting list.

He was appointed UNP chief organiser of the Bingiriya Electorate in 2010 and is expected to contest the upcoming provincial council election.(Pushpakumara Jayaratne)
