Mysterious vessel in Marawila

A mysterious vessel was found ashore the Modarawella in Marawila area this morning, Marawila Police said.

Police had discovered several fishing nets and an anchor inside the vessel known as ‘Sajith Lakmal’. The Police also said that the communication devices and satellite equipment which are usually fixed in a trawler vessel were missing.

The fishermen in the area had seen the vessel floating in the sea for the last three days. (JS)
