Three people, who had allegedly been involved in the killing of a 72-year-old woman in Adippila in Arachchikattuwa about 17 years ago, were arrested by the police today.

During investigations it had been revealed that the victim was stabbed to death over a longstanding personal dispute.

Police said a armed forces deserter was among the suspects who were taken into custody by the Chilaw Division unsolved crimes unit. They are to be produced in courts soon. (Augustine Fernando)
