The CID arrested a suspect today with sixteen guns in connection with the Mulleriyawa shooting incident. This included 12 pistols, two revolvers and two T56 assault rifles.
So far the CID has taken 37 statements in regard to the shooting incident on Saturday evening where Presidential Advisor and Former Parliamentarian Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed along with three others and causing serious head injuries to Parliamentarian Duminda Silva. (SD)

Ah, they caught the scapegoat.... all their master's sins will be washed off this poor guy who may not have even been 100kms from where the incident took place. He will take the cops to some banana plantation to show the other weapons will die in a scuffle with the police for a banana and that will be the end of the investigation. Case closed.
